SsangYong has confirmed that, as with the current car, the new Rodius will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine

It added that the Rodius has been “styled to be fit for outdoor, off-road driving as well as on-road driving…” which implies that the current four-wheel-drive Rodius will feature more all-terrain ability this time. The seven-seater Rodius’ main selling point is that it is large, well equipped and cheap. The current model comes fitted with air conditioning, an MP3-compatible stereo, Bluetooth and 12V DC power outlets. The boot capacity is an impressive 875 litres, which can swell to a van-like 3,034 litres with the seats down. The new car is expected to follow this strategy, but with a focus on improved quality inside and out, as seen with the latest Korando SUV.
